  Food was ok but they didn't manage to bring all our meals to the table at the same time and mine arrived when the others had almost finished despite eating as slowly as they could. The young male waiter looked highly embarrassed as it was obviously a mistake in the kitchen, but the managment seemed to think it was ok to serve meals like this. A complimentary drink or something while I was waiting would have not gone amiss - everyone makes mistakes but very poor customer service. We will not be going back.

• ultimate country pub

  You wont get a better setting than this for a country pub! When the sun is shining the cars just keep on driving up to this pub. Literally looking out onto colley hill and the stretch of green belt (for how much longer we wonder?)countryside heading towards walton. Gorgeous countryside, some tables and benches outside for the rare sunny day which we may or may not get in the summer. On these days, this place is packed. Inside it is a very small quaint pub, walk through to the dining area for waitress service, although food can also be ordered and eaten in the general part of the pub too. Huge selection and huge meals for such a small pub! Pricey but a lot of food for your money, and a real english country pub.
