Enjoyable country ambiance

It's Tex-Mex done with an English twist. Had my birthday meal here recently and the sirloin I was served was tough as boot leather. Upon complaining, they upgraded me to a melt in the mouth fillet which was lovely. They also gave me a completely new meal - refill on the chips, coleslaw and roast tomato - which was a nice surprise (most places just replace the meat and serve your old plate back). The rib appetiser was a bit dry and rough, and not very meaty and they don't do pints - either 1/2 pints or 2 pint jugs, which was odd. They also serve tortilla chips as a freebie starter, but these are out of a bag and not made on premises... and were rather stale.The main course was excellent and they were very apologetic about the steak being tough. Would definitely go back again, but avoid the sirloin, the starters and the stale tortilla chips.
