Leatherhead Road,
My 2 children and I went 3 times to Chessington during the summer holidays as we have Merlin passes and Chessington is very convenient to reach with easy access from the M25 or the A3. There is a huge variety of activities and therefore something for everyone. WE took friends with us on each occassion and everyone loved it! The variety includes rides for smaller people, soft play areas (with coffee nearby), rollercoaster rides (Dragon's fury spins as it speeds round the track, Vampire is a dangly feet ride of twists and turns and rattlesnake is a switchback ride) there are simple rides like Bubbleworks on a boat suitable for all ages or tomblaster where you have to shoot with a lazer gun to get points whilst riding through the dark. There are also animals and shows eg feeding penguins and animal antic adventures on stages. The downside can be queuing and we waited 1.5 hours to go on dragons fury.It is a great day out especially as it appeals to such a wide age range.
I took my kids and my wife to Chessington World of Adventures in Leatherhead. The park has rides, a zoo and also a newly added sea life centre. I feel that this is a good day out for the whole family. We were lucky to go on a weekday, so the queues were not as bad as I have heard before. While the attraction costs a lot of money for a family of four, we have an annual Merlin attractions pass which covers Thorpe Park, Legoland, London Aquarium, London Eye, Chessington World of Adventures, etc - so we are trying to make the most of it. I would thoroughly recommend this place. The one ride you must not miss is the Log Flume - just brilliant fun on a sunny day.

Chessington is a fantastic theme park. It has rides for all ages. This can be a fun experience even for those who do not like rides. Chessington however doesn’t have the big rollercoasters like Alton towers and Thorpe Park, but chessington makes up for this with events and scenes made for the smaller children in the family. There are many places around for you to eat during the day and keep your energy up for the action packed day out. I particularly remember very tasty ringed doughnuts. I have been to chessington when I was young and then in my teens. The place really just keeps getting better. I can’t wait to go again.
This theme park is great for all ages. There are rides that are suitable for the very young and others for the teenagers. It has a real family atmosphere with plenty of food outlets and lovely green areas for picnics. It is better to visit slightly out of season so that the queues aren’t quite so long.In addition to the theme park there is a Zoo which has a lovely range of animals to see and also a Sea Life Centre. When we went the Sea life Centre was very crowded so it was really difficult to see the exhibits so best to get there early. There are often 2 for 1 offers available so it is worth looking out for these before you visit.

Chessington world of adventures was originally a zoo and has now expanded into much more than that . Now enclosing a sealife centre and more well known as a 26 ride theme park this theme park is suitable for all ages. The zoo is the oldest part of the zoo and has animals such as penguins , lions and gorillas while the theme park has 4 rollercoasters and 2 water rides . The theme park is open from march to october while the zoo is open all year round . The park is situated 12 miles from central london and is signposted on the A3 and M25It really is fun for all ages !
Chessington World of Adventures is a family theme park and zoo operated by the Tassuds group. The park is situated in the ground of a old manor house. It has a large zoo with a sealion enclosure. This theme park is aimed at familys with younger children. It does have a couple of white knuckle rides but this is not the target audience. Most of the rides are fun not to scary. The best rides in the park are the Vampire rollercoaster - a hanging fast thrill ride, Dragon river - a log flume with a very large drop and the bubbleworks which memorizes the younger children. As with all theme parks the food prices are extortionate as are the souveniers and the admission is pretty pricy as well - around one hundred pounds for a family of four. But it is loved by all as a great day out.
